Timothy Killeen—“Ohio” Specific Universal Waste
Tim works in the Hazardous Waste Compliance and Inspection Support Unit for the Division of Environmental Response and Revitalization. He has a total of seventeen years with Ohio EPA as a hazardous waste inspector. He has returned to Ohio EPA and has worked the past 5 years in the Hazardous Waste Compliance and Inspection Support Unit where he answers regularity questions from the public, the regulated community and the hazardous waste inspectors. In between Tim spent eight years with the Ohio Department of Transportation conducting environmental audits of ODOT facilities, reviewing ESA projects for both facilities and roadway construction, writing SPCC plans, managing VAP and RCRA closures. While with ODOT he petitioned Ohio EPA to add antifreeze and aerosol cans to the list of universal waste. Both of which were added in December 2017. Mr. Killeen also spent two years with Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Resources conducting both solid and hazardous waste inspections. He has a B.S. in Biology from John Carroll University.
