Presentation Description: This session offers a brief overview of how to determine if training is needed, identifying potential trainers, planning, conducting and evaluating training, basic principles of adult learning, use of audio-visual materials and tips on improving overall presentation skills.

Presenter: Tammi Nye

Biography: I joined the Bureau as an ISCS (Industrial Safety Consultant Specialist) in January of 2016 but I have a total of 25 years’ experience in safety, the majority in General Industry as a Distribution & Logistics Safety Manager for a Fortune 50 company. Previous experience includes safety in manufacturing for Fiberglass, Rubber and Vacuumed Formed plastics. Primary areas of consultation include, Occupational Safety and Health management and compliance (CFR 1910, 1926 and Hazardous Waste), Workers Compensation Claims Management, Accident Investigation, Root Cause Analysis, Incident prevention and reduction, Behavioral Based Safety and interviewing, orientation and training, program development and implementation, policy and procedure creation and writing, training and development.
